  • Unable to start tc server v2.1: Waiting for changelog lock

    Hello Community,

I have SpringSource Tool Suite Version: 2.5.1.RELEASE and the problem is as follows:
I terminated the server while it was starting (in fact I was doing that before without any consequences) and now unable to start it. It fails after timeout due to the "Waiting for changelog lock...."
Google did not give any helpful advice. Reboot also did not solve the problem.

    Startup log: http://pastebin.com/xbwFmAhr

    Thanks in advance!

It looks like you caught Spring Insight trying to initialize its database. You can reset the Insight database by deleting this directory:
    Code:
    $TCSERVER_HOME/spring-insight-instance/insight/data

I was running tc server from sts and I needed to delete
          workspace/.metadata/.plugins/org.eclipse.wst.server.core/tmp*/insight/data
          to get it fixed

If you use vFabric the directory to delete is:

            ..\vfabric-tc-server-developer-2.5.0.RELEASE\tcServer\insight\data\

I running Vmware vFabric tcServer v2.7 from inside STS 3.1 and had to delete this to fix the issue:
              {STS_Workspace}\.metadata\.plugins\org.eclipse.wst .server.core\tmp*\insight\conf\data
