  • Using XD features with an existing SpringBatch Installation

Question for XD Developers/Committers/Lead / Mark Pollack:

We've been running SpringBatch / SpringBatchAdmin for about a year now and have a considerable investment
in staying with that environment (SB/SBAdmin). One of the reasons we haven't jumped on XD is that the job
UI is quite minimal. SpringBatchAdmin is a better UI IMO.

As I understand it, XD is built on top of SpringBatch.
    So I'm wondering:
    1. What would it take to migrate the value-add features of XD (job language, DIRT) to an existing SB installation.
One of the reason I would do this is so that we can continue to use SpringBatch Admin, which leads me to
      the next questions:
    2. Do you plan to improve the XD job UI?
    3. Why not just use SpringBatchAdmin as the job UI for XD?

    Thanks!
    Glenn

Over a month and a half and no reply!

Can you please give any insights to the above questions?
    Thanks.

Sorry for not getting to this sooner. We are in the process of moving to StackOverflow for our forums.
This question is probably a better candidate for StackOverflow, perhaps against the #spring-batch tag. If you do post it there, please reply here with the link. Thanks!
