  • Reaching data from another window / another flow

    Hi!

I work with an application where the user first enters data in some forms. Then he/she should be able to print a pdf with details of the data entered.

Each use case is represented by a flow, with the following spring-managed beans:
    - A controller bean handling logic on request scope
    - A model bean, holding the data of the use case, on flow scope
The pdf should be presented in a separate window.

So I'm opening the window with javascript, launching a separate flow in the new window. How do I reach the data of the first flow, entered in the forms, when preparing the pdf?

The model bean, holding the data, is on flow scope. So when launching a new window / new flow I will get another instance if i try to access that bean.
I tried having the pdf-generating bean on session scope. But that means that I manually have to push the data onto that bean, before opening the print window.

Any suggestions on how I should organise my beans / scopes?

    Best,
    E
