  • Ignoring extra parameters while binding

    All,
    Just can't figure this out. I have a couple of extra parameters in my form URL. I need them for some page state management. The problem is when I submit a form, the binder wants to bind them to my object. They don't bind so I get bind errors. I need the binder to ignore those parameters, or better yet, get the parameters excluded from the set going to the binder.

    Thanks for the advice...

    I'm using SWF2, MVC 3.0

    Then configure theb inder to exclude those... Check the section in the reference manual, regarding configuring the binder.

      Yes, so the solution is to explicitly configure the binder:

      Code:
          <view-state id="editUnit" view="units.editUnit" model="unitSystem">
              <binder>
                  <binding property="unit"/>
                  <binding property="name"/>
                  <binding property="abbreviation"/>
              </binder>
              <transition to="list" on="save">
                  <evaluate expression="unitSystems.put( unitSystem.unit, unitSystem )"/>
              </transition>
          </view-state>
