  • form transition as hyperlink

    On a view I can transition to the next state with the help of a <form> tag like
    Code:
    <form name="simpleActionForm" method="get">
    		<input type="hidden" name="_flowExecutionId" value="$&#123;flowExecutionId&#125;">
    		<input type="submit" class="button" name="_eventId_submit" value="Go">
    	</form>
    But can I also use a <a href=""> hyperlink?

    I tried it like
    Code:
    <a href="play.htm?_flowId=simpleActionFlow&flowExecutionId=$&#123;flowExecutionId&#125;&eventId_submit=">go</a>
    But this did not forward to the next state.

    Any ideas wherther it is possible and how?

    thanks
    Alex.

    Yes, your hyperlink code is close but not quite right. You have a typo (flowExecutionId instead of _flowExecutionId) and you don't need to pass in the _flowId since you're participating in an existing excuting flow (called a flow execution).

    Please see the FlowLauncher example for concrete examples of how to launch flows via forms and hyperlinks.

    Likewise, see FlowLauncher again for concrete examples of how to have a view (.jsp) participate in an existing flow execution.
