• Error creating with bean name: '_messageBrokerDefaultHandlerMapping':Initializati on

HI All,

I am using spring-flex-testdrive for my demo spring-blazeds integration.
I am using spring 2.5 version.

In that i am getting following error when i start tomcat server.

Code:

i dont want to use any kind of security for demo purpose.
Is above exception due to spring version or any other mistake?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks and regards,
Rohit kotecha.

It appears you've got the wrong version of Cglib (or maybe multiple versions?) on your classpath. The version that should typically be used is expressed in Maven as:

Code:
<dependency>
<groupId>cglib</groupId>
<artifactId>cglib-nodep</artifactId>
<version>2.1_3</version>
</dependency>

Same thing, this time with Hibernate.

The version in the spring-orm pom.xml is:

Code:
<dependency>
<groupId>org.hibernate</groupId>
<artifactId>hibernate</artifactId>
<version>3.2.6.ga</version>
</dependency>

Getting antlr/ANTLRException when calling remote object method.

Thanks jeremy.

Sorry for late reply.

Now tomcat starts without any error but getting below error when i called remote object method from flex.

-Error[RPC Fault faultString="There was an unhandled failure on the server. antlr/ANTLRException" faultCode="Server.Processing" faultDetail="null"]
In lib folder i have already placed antlr-3.0.1.jar.

is above problem due to jar file wrong version or stil some files are missing?

Thanks and regards,
Rohit kotecha.

Most likely, yes, you've still got something wrong on your classpath, but it's hard to say for sure without seeing the full stack trace (which is probably in your server log).

I would suggest taking a look at the libraries of this pre-build version of the Test Drive: http://static.springsource.org/sprin....1.RELEASE.zip

After unzipping, take a look at the contents of spring-flex-testdrive/testdrive/target/testdrive/WEB-INF/lib

Stil getting same Exception "antlr/ANTLRException"

Thanks jeremy for reply.

I have downloaded spring-testdrive from link which u hav suggested.
I have replaced lib folder of my spring-testdrive with new downloaded one.

I have added other required jars like jconn2.jar,spring-orm.jar,hibernate3.jar,dom4j-1.6.1.jar.

After doing i have started tomcat then i got following exception.

cannot create class "flex.messaging.security.TomcatLoginCommand".

SO i have placed below jar files in lib folder.

flex-messaging-proxy.jar,flex-messaging-remoting.jar,flex-messaging-common.jar,flex-messaging-core.jar,flex-messaging-opt.jar.

After doing this tomcat got started without any error.
but stil i am getting same error/exception at flex client side when i invoke remote object method.

Exception:
Code:
[-Error[RPC Fault faultString="java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError : antlr/ANTLRException" faultCode="Server.Processing" faultDetail="null"]
it doesnt effect anything whether antlr-3.0.1.jar present or not. In all cases i got above exception.
I have also attached log files of tomcat.

can you provide some example link of how to invoke remote object method from flex to spring with hibernate?

Thanks and regards,
Rohit kotecha.

So you've got that class configured in services-config.xml... are you sure you actually need it? If you want to use the Spring Security integration, then you don't.

The only one of those you should have needed to add (and again, only if you actually need the TomcatLoginCommand) is flex-messaging-opt.jar

I didn't realize you were trying to serialize Hibernate entities. BlazeDS has problems with this at the moment without the help of a 3rd-party adapter such as dpHibernate or Gilead. You can plug one of these in via the ManageableComponentFactoryBean. There are some examples (I think mainly for dpHibernate) floating around on the forum. We will be providing out-of-the-box support for this without the need for an adapter in the next major release, but that's a little while away yet. Alternately, you can use the DTO pattern.

Hi All,

means it is not possible to use hibernate with spring with blazeDs?

and when i have downloaded spring-flex testdrive in that
in
\spring-flex-testdrive-1.0.1.RELEASE\spring-flex-testdrive\testdrive\target\testdrive\WEB-INF\flex folder contains only service-config.xml.

other config files like remote-config.xml , message-config.xml and data-management-config.xml are not present.

and 1 more question can i use data manangement service with blazeDs or not?

means i have downloaded some wrong version or wht?

and stil i am getting below exception at flex client side when invoking remote object method from flex.

-Erro777---r[RPC Fault faultString="There was an unhandled failure on the server. antlr/ANTLRException" faultCode="Server.Processing" faultDetail="null"]
why i am getting above exception? any library jar is missing?
THere is already antlr.jar present.

As per ur opinion is it better to use flex as front-end in large scale enterprise application?
because by using flex we have to loss so many advantage of spring web mvc framework. and for Rich UI there so many other alternative available like Jquery , extJs etc.

Thanks and regards,
Rohit kotecha.

Regardless of whether you're using Spring or not, it's a general issue with BlazeDS. BlazeDS's serialization/deserialization algorithm has no knowledge of things like Hibernate proxies or lazy collections, so it leads to problems. That said, it is perfectly fine to use one of the aforementioned open source adapters or the DTO pattern.

There should be no need for remote-config and message-config when using Spring. Right now you would still need data-management-config if you choose to use LCDS's data management service, but that will become unnecessary as well when we support it explicitly in our 1.5 release.

No. The data management service is LCDS only. That said, LCDS is just adding that on top of BlazeDS by means of one additional jar.

Again, I believe that error is the result of trying to serialize a Hibernate entity.

because by using flex we have to loss so many advantage of spring web mvc framework. and for Rich UI there so many other alternative available like Jquery , extJs etc.
There is no one-size-fits-all answer, but I do think Flex is an excellent choice for a large enterprise application. The Flash platform gives you today, on every major browser, what HTML5 promises sometime in the future. I am a huge proponent of open web HTML/CSS/JS based technologies as well, but getting close to the same place with these technologies today can still be a struggle depending on what you're trying to achieve. It largely depends on the skill set of your development team and how much time you have to build something.

Getting problem when using data management service with blazeDS

THanks jeremy for reply.

All problems are solved and i am able to get data using remote Object method call from flex.

Now to use flex's data management service with flex i added flex-messaging.jar to lib folder of blazeDS. and also i have added data-management-config.xml , service-messaging.xml and messaging-config.xml files to WEB-INF/flex folder.

But when i started tomcat server i am getting following exception.

The Data Management service is driven by flex-messaging-data.jar and flex-messaging-data-req.jar, not flex-messaging.jar. It's complaining about the constructor of RTMPEndpoint (an LCDS class), not your code.
