  • Retrieving default channelSet

    Hi all,

    When defining a messaging destination, we use something like:

    <flex:message-broker>
    <flex:message-service default-adapter-id="my-default-messaging-adapter"
    default-channels="my-polling-amf,my-streaming-amf" />
    </flex:message-broker>

    The question is, is there a way to retrieve this messaging channelSet from the Flex side?

    I'm looking for something similar to ServerConfig.getChannelSet but oriented to the use of the Spring for BlazeDS product.

    Thanks.

    Well, it could be done with a little glue, but there is no "out-of-the-box" way.

    For example, you could set up some kind of web service (let's say a RESTful endpoint to keep it simple) in your app that basically inspects the MessageBroker at runtime and returns a message describing the current configuration.

    This might be an interesting thing for us to provide in the future...something like a pre-packaged set of Spring MVC 3.0 controller(s) that expose this information via a well-defined REST API.
