  • Problem with dynamic destinations

    I have set up a demo using SBI. It was working well with endpoint specified in my mxml file, but throws error when I try to do dynamic destination. I am listing the important codes here.

    mxml file(working):
    Code:
     <mx:RemoteObject id="ro"
    	destination="guestService"
    	endpoint="http://localhost:8888/blazeds2/rfi/messagebroker/amf"
    	result="resultHandler(event)"
    	fault="faultHandler(event)"/>
    mxml file(NOT working):
    Code:
     <mx:RemoteObject id="ro"
            destination="guestService"
            fault="faultHandler(event)">
    		<mx:method name="searchClient" result="resultHandler(event)"/>
    	</mx:RemoteObject>
    error message is: Couldn't establish a connection to 'guestService'.

    I have compared my configuration files with Jeremy's Test Drive Sample code, and don't see the difference. I did include default channel set in the services-config.xml file.

    Code:
        <services>
            <service-include file-path="remoting-config.xml" />
            <service-include file-path="proxy-config.xml" />
            <service-include file-path="messaging-config.xml" />

            <default-channels>
               <channel ref="my-amf"/>
            </default-channels>

        </services>
    All the rest are pretty much standard set up. I can't figure out the cause of the error. I am using JDK1.5, Spring 2.5.6, SBI 1.0.0.M1, deployed to Oracle oc4j under the same web context.

    Thanks.

    I suspect you aren't telling the Flex compiler the location of your services-config.xml, which is needed in order for the compiled SWF to have knowledge of the default channels.
