  • Creating a Hello World

    Hi Folks.

    I try to implement a simple hello world with spring and blazeds.

    I try to expose the following simple class:
    package amazonas;
    public class mping {
    public mping ()
    public String getPing ()
    return "Hallo";

    In my application context, i deffined:
    <bean id="mping" class="amazonas.mping" />

    <bean id="mping-service" class="org.springframework.flex.messaging.remoting .FlexRemotingServiceExporter">
    <property name="messageBroker" ref="_messageBroker"/>
    <property name="service" ref="mping"/>

    And my Flex App looks like
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <mx:Application xmlns:mx="">
    <mx:RemoteObject id="srv" destination="mping" endpoint="http://localhost:8080/innerste-ToDoListe/messagebroker/amf" />
    <mx:Button label="{srv.getPing.lastResult()}" click="srv.getPing()"/>

    Sounds easy, but I always get:
    org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanCreationExce ption: Error creating bean with name 'mping-service' defined in ServletContext resource [/WEB-INF/applicationContext.xml]: Invocation of init method failed; nested exception is flex.messaging.config.ConfigurationException: Destination 'mping-service' must specify at least one adapter.

    Can anybody tell me, what is going on? I could not find any help using google.

    Well, first off, it looks like you're using M1...we just released RC1 today and I highly recommend upgrading. No need to use the FlexRemotingServiceExporter directly anymore...we've got namespace tags instead. Take a look at the docs and at Christophe's test drive samples linked from for some more up-to-date help getting started (though beware his samples are still on M2 currently).

      Hey Jeremy.
      Thanks for the reply. Gratulations for your RC1! I will try to update and use it. Perhaps the Problem will be gone.
