  • Exposing the same services to AMF0 and AMF3 clients

    Hi,

In our application, we have some modules that were developed a few years ago that are written in AS1. The most recent modules are written using AS3, using Flex and BlazeDS to comunicate with the Middleware layer through the AMF3 protocol.

Now, we are starting to migrate some legacy code from java layer and start using spring, hibernate and blazeds. At java layer is pretty simple to migrate the legacy code, but in the UX layer, it is not so easy and we need to continue using the old flash screens (AS1 and AMF0). This became a problem, because using AMF0 we can't send complex objects to AS1 components.

Do you have some idea to solve this problem?

We are trying to create a middleware layer only for the business logic and we don't want to have specific code related with the presentation layer.

With the spring-flex integration we could achieve these goal, but I don't know how to solve the AMF0 problems.

We are thinking in writing the serialization process to handle the response to AS0 endpoints, but I think that is not a good approach.

Thanks in advance for your help!
