  • custom init with command binding ?

Im binding to a custom bean (resource) that contains set and string properties. The set contains another custom bean(page). In my default constuctor I can create a new empty set, but its only until I add a custom object to it that I can index into it. Id prefer not to create a Set with a guess/limit as to how many beans i need in the set before I can bind to them. Is this possible - or can I write a custom property editor to look at the input param, size the set on the fly, and delegate to the Spring native Set handling ?

eg 2 examples : ("resource" has a set of "page" beans)
    1) ?resource[0].title=xyz&resource[1].title=abc - this needs a set of size 2, with 2 page objects
    2) ?resource[0].title=123&resource[4].name=qwerty - this needs a set of size 5, ideally with 2 populated slots each with a page bean
