  • Best book for spring mvc

Which book would you recommend to use when working with spring mvc? especially explaining the web front end.

    I bought Spring in Action.

I thought it gave a great coverage of Spring functionality. It gives you enough to get going.

One great feature is you can buy an e-book version of the book in PDF format and then buy the hardcover at a discount if you want.

    eg hard cover costs $40
    e-book costs $20
    hardcover + e-book costs $40

I also found "Spring In Action" to be a great intro. The examples for this book (if you get the latest of the web site) actually work! (something I don't run into that often).

Then, when you are comfortable with "Spring in Action," take a look at "Pro Spring". Both are very good, but in very different ways. "Pro Spring" gets into more advanced stuff, so hit it second.
