    I have a problem configuring web.xml and the springfoo-servlet.xml files.

    I want to set the web.xml like this.

    <servlet-mapping>
    <servlet-name>springfoo</servlet-name>
    <url-pattern>*.jsp</url-pattern>
    </servlet-mapping>

    and my springfoo-servlet.xml like this.

    <bean class="org.springframework.web.servlet.handler.Sim pleUrlHandlerMapping">
    <property name="mappings">
    <value>
    /*/foo.jsp=fooController
    /foo.jsp=fooController
    /detail.jsp=detailController
    /counties.jsp=countiesController
    /*/counties.jsp=countiesController
    </value>
    </property>
    </bean>

    however, this gives me an error "The requested resource () is not available" when I invoke http://{domain}/foo.jsp

    if I amend the web.xml to

    <servlet-mapping>
    <servlet-name>springfoo</servlet-name>
    <url-pattern>/foo.jsp</url-pattern>
    </servlet-mapping>

    everything works fine. Does anyone know why I would get this problem?
