  • Spring project expects to be at root directory, freaks out when itís not

I have a spring project that works beautifully when it's located at the web root - i.e. http://myserver/index.html but it breaks terribly when it's not - i.e. http://myserver/spring-project/index.html

Is there a way to configure spring to live in a subdirectory? Going through docs has been entirely unhelpful.

Context roots are handled by your container..spring (i am assuming spring mvc) has nothing to do with it...it will use whatever context root that has been set.

Varies from app server to app server..and different IDEs do it differently..Its best if you lookup the documentation for your particular implementation. In Eclipse ..you could just right click on the web project -> Properties -> Web Project Settings and change it there.

I haven't tried this myself, but take a peek at:

          http://code.google.com/p/urlrewritefilter/

          Good luck,
