  • Servlet loaded at startup to perform initialisation code.

    Hi.

I am trying to emulate something we did in Struts/MVC in Spring with the added benefit of context beans. I am having problems understanding how to configure a load on startup servlet in web.xml & tying that into a Spring FrameworkServlet based servlet that simply has code in the init() method. So there are no Sping based URLMaps etc to forward to this Servlet in the App context as no URLS ever hit it.

Has anybody done this ? Or is there a better was to initialise Factory objects at framework startup ?

    Any help appreciated.

Can you explain what you want this servlet to do? (i.e. code fragment) Not sure I am getting it
