  • Forcing onSubmit to be called

    I have a list of 3-column rows on my screen (each column is a HTML SELECT). Every row, except the last (blank) row, is pre-populated with data with the database record being SELECTED in the drop-down.

    When I update the first few rows and hit Submit, my onSubmit method does *NOT* get called. However, if I change something in the last (blank) row, the onSubmit does get called.?

    I've tried setting "sessionForm" to true and false but I can't get onSubmit to be called when I'm just "updating" the existing data versus "adding" a new row (by changing the last/blank row).

    Any suggestions?

    I just got it to work using this -- is this a clean/acceptable way?
    Code:
    	protected ModelAndView processFormSubmission(
                HttpServletRequest request,
                HttpServletResponse response,
                Object command,
                BindException errors)
    			throws ServletException, IOException
    	{
    	    return onSubmit(request, response, command, errors);
    	}
