  • listener start error caused by log4jConfigListener

    I've been trying to add this to several webapps.

    Each seems to work when only one of the apps is started when tomcat loads. If both are started on startup one of them will fail.

    Any ideas? Is Log4jConfigListener global?

    Code:
        <context-param>
            <param-name>log4jConfigLocation</param-name>
            <param-value>/WEB-INF/log4j.xml</param-value>
        </context-param>
        <context-param>
            <param-name>log4jRefreshInterval</param-name>
            <param-value>1000</param-value>
        </context-param>
        <listener>
            <listener-class>org.springframework.web.util.Log4jConfigListener</listener-class>
        </listener>

    I don't know why it happens, sorry , but if you use Log4j for logging your apps , maybe you could try to use AOP , I discovered it this week and it's more customizable, and your classes are cleanest of code.

    IMHO.
