  • How can add a back event for input?

    Hi, good morning.
    I am a new one of spring. and i have one question.

    for the form tag, how can i add a event for <form:input .../> , so that I can process something at the back ground?

    eg:
    <form:input path="username" .../>
    <form:input path="password" .../>
    <form:select path="project" .../>

    when the client type the username , i will retrive the project that promised for the user. so that they can select one only.

    What should I do for that?

    thank you!

    Sounds like ajax to me. But how do you know when they've stopped typing? It seems to me that you'll need to do the query for the drop down list on each letter they enter for their name.

      I know input have a event onchange in HTML, and we can use it in jsp page, but how can we trigger the event which defined in class? That is what i Mean;

        I seems know how does it. Maybe will use JavaScript to hand the client side event.

          Have a look at this; this is what I was referring to (implicitly) when I said "ajax".
