  • Spring + WebLogic = no hot deployment of JSPs?

I'm finally taking the plunge and converting a smallish web application to use Spring. We are using WebLogic 6.1 at present but will probably be uppgrading to WL 8.1 soon.

What I'm learning the hard way is apparently that I must disable hot deployment of JSPs (and maybe serlvets too) in order to make use of the WebApplicationContext that is stored in the servlet context. From some postings (and harsh experience), I see that WL requires object placed in the context to be Serializable. Unless I disable hot deployment I get runtime errors.

Does everyone out there running WebLogic + Spring have this problem, or am I doing something wrong?

    Thanks!

Certainly not a problem in WLS 8.1 (or, IIRC, 7.0). I haven't used 6.1 for years.
