  • Wizard flows....

Looking at replacing struts with Spring MVC and trying to get a prototype up as quickly as possible. I have to implement many wizard like flows, each step should get validated before proceeding and the final step is the only time where any business logic should get executed. So I would like to have a single form object and only bind certain fields at each page of the flow. Are there any examples of how to do this in spring? Should I be looking at the AbstractWizardController?

    Thanks!!!!

You can use AbstractWizardFormController for this, or you can use Spring Web Flow. Spring Web Flow is generally more flexible. AWFC will get the job done for simple wizards.

I'd recommend checking out Spring Web Flow PR2 (due this weekend) and checkout the 'sellItem' wizard sample which demonstrates a wizard like the one you describe. If you can't wait till then, it's in working shape in CVS now, too.
