  • Suggestion for better exception message

    Hi all,
    I was just thinking if it was possible to re-define the exception message that is being thrown as shown below. The root cause of the issue was that 'HomeController' class wasnt present in the WEB-INF/classes directory.
    If you see below, the framework has indeed recognized from the <project>-servlet.xml file. But since it wasnt able to find it, it throws this exception. It should rather be a NoClassDefFound exception to easily debug the issue.

    Any suggestions on if we can improve or is it taken care in the subsequent releases? Am using Spring 2.1. Am sure many newbies would definitely have fallen into this trap before proceeding further.
