  • exception redirect to a view

    hi, i am new with spring.

    I wrote a class

    MyMappingExceptionResolver extends SimpleMappingExceptionResolver

    and i am added to the application context xml file this resolver:

    <bean id="exceptionResolver" class="...MyMappingExceptionResolver">
    <property name="exceptionMappings">
    ...

    <prop key="java.lang.Exception">technicalErrorPage</prop>
    </props> ...

    Everything works fine for Exceptions thrown in the controller.
    But If I am throwing an Exception in the scriplet of a JSP,
    the stacktrace is comming on the Webpage and not the
    Error View I defined. It looks like that errors from the JSPs
    will not reaching the controller.

    anybody knows something about the seqeunce of an exception
    and the controller or has an idea what wrong and how to fix it?

    is it a good idea to define an error-code in the web-xml instead?

    thanks,

    basti
