  • Is there any easy method for paging in spring?

    Hi everyone:

    I want to know is there easy method for paging in spring web framework? How do you paging in your web project?
    I use Hibernate paging method to do this. I want to know if there is more easy method to do this including paging in server and display dataset in jsp(for example: using datagrid taglib). Thks

    The Spring Framework does provide support for paging. I've done this using framework class PagedListHolder.

    See this discussion thead for more details.

            Paging

            I am also working on the paging concept . Can anyone throw light on how we can didplay the links such as

            prev 1 2 3 5 4 next ....

            I have been having some problems with respect to that in the with Spring tlds... An example would be encouraging

              with the tlds provided by spring on can make use of this

              <c:if test="${!productList.firstPage}">
              <a href="?name=previous"><font color="Red"><B>&lt;&lt; PrevLink</B></font></a>
              </c:if>
              </td> &nbsp;...&nbsp;
              <td> <c:forEach begin="${productList.firstLinkedPage}" end="${productList.lastLinkedPage}" var="crtpg">
              <c:choose>

              <c:when test="${crtpg == productList.page}">

              <font color='red'><c:out value="${crtpg+1}"/></font></A>
              </c:when>

              <c:otherwise>

              <a href="?name=<c:url value="${crtpg}"></c:url>">&nbsp&nbsp<c:out value="${crtpg+1}"/></a>

              </c:otherwise>
              </c:choose>

              </c:forEach>
              </td>
              <td>
              <c:if test="${!productList.lastPage}">
              <a href="?name=next"><font color="Red"><B>NextLink &gt;&gt;</B></font></a>
              </c:if>
              </td>
              <td>
              </td>
              </tr>
              </table>

                Pagination

                The code works but theres bug. Assuming there are total 18 pages. This code will display 10 links (by default) at a time until user selects anything below page# 15. But if user selects page#17 or 18 only last 5/6 page links are displayed. Its not a huge deal but for consistency, it will great if we can somehow specify the number of links displayed at a given time.

                Any thoughts on this issue?
