  • JSF-Spring integration

    Hello,

    Besides Appfuse/Equinox, are there any "non-toy" apps out there that could demonstrate how to (better) integrate JSF and Spring?

    Thank you.

      IMO, integrating JSF with Spring is pretty easy. There's not much to it, just declare a custom variable resolver in faces-config.xml:

      Code:
      <faces-config>
          <!-- Spring VariableResolver for JSF -->
          <application>
              <variable-resolver>org.springframework.web.jsf.DelegatingVariableResolver</variable-resolver>
          </application>
      Is this not working for you?

      Matt

        Hello,

        I was talking about other apps with "deeper" integration, somewhere where jsf-spring library would be justified, etc.
        It was not meant to be an offense to Appfuse/Equinox/their creator.
        Maybe it's my bad English. I don't know.

          Unfortunately, the jsf-spring library only works with Spring 1.1 RC2 (and below). It does not work with Spring 1.1.1+. My guess is that the authors decided the DelegatingVariableResolver was good enough.

          No offense taken - your English looks good to me. ;-)
