  • Web folder structure

    Hi,
I have a couple of questions considering the structure of the web folder in spring.
    Hope someone could help me.

1- Why are some JSPs put directly under the web folder and others are put in another folder under the WEB-INF folder?
2-In the appfuse example that I dowloaded from the net there is a folder named demos. What is this folder?

    Thanks in Advance.

Generally you don't want end users accessing the jsp files directly. If you place them inside WEB-INF they won't be able to. Usually any jsp files not in the WEB-INF are just generic index.jsp files that redirect to a Spring controller.

The "demos" folder is simply to demonstrate some demos for the displaytag and struts-menu. You can view them online at http://demo.raibledesigns.com/appfuse/demos.

When users create new projects with AppFuse, I recommend they delete this folder.[/url]
