  • Spring portlet MVC decoration/templating

    Hello,

I am looking for a way to decorate and template my portlet jsps. Sitemesh is, as far as i know, not applicable in a portlet project. Is there something similar to Sitemesh, for portlets? What are the best practices in portlet jsps decorating/templating?

    Thanks in advance!

Not sure about how to make Sitemesh work in a portlet.

We just recently had a thread about using Tiles in a portlet. I know Tiles is a poor substitute for SiteMesh, but you can accomplish a lot of the same results.

Perhaps it would be possible to build a Spring View that accomplishes the same thing as com.opensymphony.module.sitemesh.filter.PageFilter that you could use in the same way that the org.springframework.web.servlet.view.tiles.* classes work.
