  • Missing accept-encoding in <form:form> tag

    Hello,

for the right UTF-8 encoding, one needs the
    1) Encoding Filter
    ...and the...
    2) contentType="text/html;charset=utf-8" in @page
    ...and the...
    3) accept-charset="UTF-8" attribut set in the <form> tags.

But the <form:form> Tag from the Spring taglib has no accept-charset attribute.
Is this a bug or am I missing something?

    Thanks, 43df

    Encoding problem in ajaxanywhere

OK. I found out, that the accept-charset is not really necessary in the form, if all was set up correctly.
The Problem comes from the ajaxanywhere filter (org.ajaxanywhere.AAFilter, out of the actual equinox distribution), which is destructing the character encoding of the request. Without this Filter form submission in UTF-8 works well.

    Thanks, 43df
