  • Designing views with multiple actions for user to take

    Hi,

    I got interested in Spring and I was wondering how following should be done with Spring. Say, we have a store selling products. There exists a interface for clerks to enter products. Clerks may enter a set of colors (which will be selectable by actual buyers later on when accessing the defined product). I thought that the user interface could be something like:

    Product name: <input box>
    Available colors:
    green <delete link>
    red <delete link>
    Insert a new color: <input box>
    <submit button>

    Now, where should the delete links point (links like foo.htm?deleteColor=green)?
    If to some SimpleFormController, then formBackingObject does something, which imo. is not neatly fit to there. But what are the options?

    Should i build a MultiActionController for this kind of tasks, which ultimately lead user back to the same page (i.e. in this example if user clicks delete link with the green color, then user is forwarded back to the same page, but the green color is removed).

    Or is there some better solution?
Working...
