Is is possible to configure the <spring:bind> tag so that it looks for the bean in the page scope rather than the request scope?

I'm developing a content management style solution with Spring and Tiles. The solution should be able to include two SimpleFormController forms on the same JSP that are independant of each other.

Nearly everything works flawlessly.. each "tile" has it's own Spring controller which provides the necessary beans from the formBackingObject.

The problem is that Tiles (usefully) provides a componentContext attribute that allows a bean to be passed at tile scope level. In the tile jsp itself, a call to <tiles:importAttribute> brings it into page scope.

I want to use the spring tags in my jsp but they always look for the bean in the request scope - and cannot find it..
