  • Building PetClinic in SpringSource

    Hello, I have imported the project PetClinic from svn into Spring Source and I am a new user to SS and maven. Build from project menu is grayed out and I cannot figure out how to compile with maven to create the war file.

    I have also discovered the following text in the web.xml file
    <!--
    - Map static resources to the default servlet
    - examples:
    - http://localhost:8080/static/images/pets.png
    - http://localhost:8080/static/styles/petclinic.css
    -->
    <servlet-mapping>
    <servlet-name>default</servlet-name>
    <url-pattern>/static/*</url-pattern>
    </servlet-mapping>

    which is creeating a directory structure including .../static/... and throwing off the browser. All image links are broken because image properties from browser is not expecting this. Wondering if this is a bug or what. Thanks.
