  • Spring MVC 3.1.2 Custom field formatting

    Hello,
I've read the documentation about the Formatter SPI and from what I've understood I can create a formatter. Then I can register ( for example in an @EnableWebMvc annotated class ) this formatter for a specific data type or create an annotation for bean members to define the formatter that will be used for them.
So mainly if I've a bean containing for example a date member I can either define a generic formatter for all the dates in the application or set a formatter for that field using an annotation. What I'm looking for is the possibility to use the same bean in different controllers with a different formatter for the date member.
Does anybody know how I can achieve this with spring mvc 3.1.2 ?
    Thanks for the help.

    Regards,
    Stefano Muret
