  • It's possible to use portlets in a non portal project with Spring?

    Hi all,
I have a few questions about using portlets inside a Spring project...

    In context:
If I have a portlet, and I'm developing a Spring Web project that have to be deployed in Tomcat, Jboss or Weblogic. But some functionalities of my Web application has to be rendered from the portlet. It is possible to include this portlet in my Web project and it's possible to use the portlet to render a fragment of the page, without need of a Potlet container like Liferay?

If it is possible, how can I do that?

    Thanks in advance...

    Hi,

Portlets require a portal containers and a portal application. Spring also provides necessary infrastructure to build the portlets. But I don't think you will be able to run a portlet within your web application.
