  • Accessing a secured webservice using a certificate installed on Websphere

Hi, I've got an app on Websphere6 that uses Spring-WS to consume a webservice.

We're currently in dev, so there is no security. We will be getting into SIT over the coming weeks, so the webservice gets secured.

We're on a managed infrastructure, so the client certificate will get installed on Websphere for us, along with the keyring containing the keystore and truststore.

I am relatively new to webservices and completely new to consuming secured webservices and using security certificates installed on the appserver.

I have had a look at the spring ws docos, and there's mention of keystore.jks and a truststore.jks files, but not enough to help me understand where to go from here.

Is there anyway for me to configure my webservice to use the keyrings that have been created in websphere? Or do I need to have the .jks files created for me?

I'd really appreciate any help I can get.

    Thank you.
