  • Maven coordinates spring-ws ??

    I am trying to get spring-ws as a maven dependency with the following coordinates:

    Code:
                     <dependency>
    			<groupId>org.springframework.ws</groupId>
    			<artifactId>spring-ws</artifactId>
    			<version>1.5.4</version>
    			<type>pom</type>
    		</dependency>
    But it is not working. I get the dependency's commons logging, spring core and beans, but no spring-ws jar. I could not find any clues on the homepage either. How do I get spring-ws with Maven ??

    Don't do that :-)

    Hi haiko,

    your approach does not work, because the pom of spring-ws does not declare its modules as dependencies. Only the artifacts you got.

    Configure only dependencies that you really need in your project.
    So, start with "spring-ws-core"

    Code:
    <dependency>
    <groupId>org.springframework.ws</groupId>
    <artifactId>spring-ws-core</artifactId>
    <version>1.5.4</version>
    </dependency>
    If you need something more from spring-ws add it explicit!
    Not everybody need oxm but if you need it because you want to use JAXB2 for example, grab it:

    Code:
    <dependency>
    <groupId>org.springframework.ws</groupId>
    <artifactId>spring-oxm-tiger</artifactId>
    <version>1.5.4</version>
    </dependency>
