  • New Snapshot Location

    Hi guys,

    We've changed the snapshot repository to use Amazon's S3. The new location is http://s3.amazonaws.com/maven.springframework.org.

    2007-08-01: The snapshot location has changed again. See post #5, below, for the correct information

    For some reason, the checksums of the uploaded files are incorrect, so you will get some warnings when downloading snapshots. We are working on this bug. The snapshots themselves are fine: I did a manual diff between the downloaded and uploaded version, and they are the same.

    The bug with the checksums has been fixed, you should have no problems now.

      I have added the following stanzas to my POM file, but I still cannot retrieve the snapshots from the respository.
      Code:
      <repository>
      	<id>spring-s3</id>
      	<name>Springframework Maven SNAPSHOT Repository</name>
      	<url>http://s3.amazonaws.com/maven.springframework.org/</url>
      </repository>
      Code:
      <dependency>
      	<groupId>org.springframework.ws</groupId>
      	<artifactId>spring-ws-core</artifactId>
      	<version>1.0-rc3-SNAPSHOT</version>
      </dependency>
      There is something strange about the Amazon service that causes Maven 2.0.7 to fail to find the artifacts. Can someone else attempt to pull the latest snapshots to verify that it does indeed work?

      Any help is greatly appreciated.

          Hi guys,

          The location of the snapshot repository has changed again. The new location is http://s3.amazonaws.com/maven.spring...k.org/snapshot.

          You can use it in your POMs like so:
          Code:
          <repository>
              <id>spring-snapshot</id>
              <name>Springframework Maven SNAPSHOT Repository</name>
              <url>http://s3.amazonaws.com/maven.springframework.org/snapshot</url>
          </repository>
          You can browse the repository here: http://s3browse.com/explore/maven.sp...k.org/snapshot.
