  • Jar and packaging question/suggestion

Are there any plans to provide a consolidated spring-ws.jar that would include spring-ws-core, spring-oxm, and spring-ws-security?

Will Spring ws eventually become a Spring package (instead of a subproject) and be included with spring.jar?

Also, are there any long term plans to move around/rename packages and classes? Such as org.springframework.ws.wsdl.wsdl11.builder.XsdBase dSoap11Wsdl4jDefinitionBuilder, which is very long!

    Thanks

Yes, there are. In fact, these jars are already published to the snapshot repo, see http://static.springframework.org/ma...APSHOT/jar.php

Not for the foreseeable future. We try to keep Core Spring as small as possible.

Well, Spring has a tradition when it comes to long class names (AbstractTransactionalDataSourceSpringContextTests anyone?)

But seriously: I don't expect any classes to be moved or renamed, except when absolutely necessary. That particular class was part of the M3 release, so changing the name would break their apps.
