  • Samples - echo - problem

    Hi there,

I've downloaded WS 1.0-m3. Built samples project "echo", using maven 2 "mvn package", and deployed echo.war onto Tomcat 5.0.28. No errors reported during this process, though a few warnings from Maven "Unable to get resource.....".

Anyway, when I try to access the webapp via the browser "http://localhost:8080/echo" I get the following stack trace:

javax.servlet.ServletException: Request method 'GET' not supported
    org.springframework.ws.transport.http.WebServiceMe ssageReceiverHandlerAdapter.handle(WebServiceMessa geReceiverHandlerAdapter.java:64)
    org.springframework.ws.transport.http.MessageDispa tcherServlet.doService(MessageDispatcherServlet.ja va:125)
    org.springframework.web.servlet.FrameworkServlet.p rocessRequest(FrameworkServlet.java:396)
    org.springframework.web.servlet.FrameworkServlet.d oGet(FrameworkServlet.java:350)
    javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet .java:689)
    javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet .java:802)

    If I request "http://localhost:8080/echo/index.html" - same error

It seems to be working to an extent as requesting "http://localhost:8080/echo/echo.wsdl"
    returns the wsdl.

Have I done something wrong? Is the service only meant to be accessed via a standalone client? If so where is client? (Dont tell me I have to write it!)

    Any ideas?
