  • 2.6.0 - Jsp validation error

    I've a project I migrated from 2.5 to 2.6.
    The validator of jsp pages now shows error on some jsp pages.
    I didn't change enything from such pages after migration.
    Here the code marker as "wrong".
    <c:choose>
    <c:when test="${element.coordinate != null}">
    var lat = '${element.coordinate.lat}';
    var lng = '${element.coordinate.lng}';
    codeAddress(idx,address,legenda,lat,lng);
    el=rows[IE+idx+nidx].cells[0];
    if (el) drawMarkerHere(el, idx);
    idx = idx+1;
    </c:when>
    <c:otherwise>
    nidx = nidx+1;
    </c:otherwise>
    </c:choose>
    How can I solve ?

      Hey!

      I will try my best to help you with this. Your problem really sounds strange and should not happen. Do you have an example project for me to play with to reproduce this problem?

          I'm not sure if this is related to your problem, but quite often 2.6 will flag up errors in my Spring config XML files where there weren't any previously (and the XML is valid).

          If I clean the project and do a full build the errors always go away.

            Do You suggest a maven clean or what ?

              I think "Project -> Clean..." is meant here... It triggers a full rebuild of the project and is not related to Maven.

                Unfortunately it doesn't solve the problem.

                      I looked at your project and I can see the problems being reported. Seems like this is a general issue with the JSP support in Eclipse for JEE, since I can reproduce the problem with a vanilla Eclipse 3.6.2 for JEE developers edition.

                      Looks like the JSP syntax checking is broken when using tags inside JavaScript code snippets. Unfortunately I don't think we can do anything here, beside of reporting that to WTP. Sorry for not being more helpful in this case...
