  • Spring problem: referenced bean not found

    We use Spring STS 2.3.2 on Eclipse Galileo SR2 for Java Devs (incl. Eclipse 3.5.2).
    We have multiple Eclipse projects, one of which is a WTP project with a Spring application context.
    It imports another context file with DAO definitions (located in another Eclipse project, that is on the classpath of the WTP project) like this:
    ...
    <import resource="classpath:com/mypackage/persistence/config/daos.xml"/>
    ...
    The app context in the WTP project uses these DAO definitions, but STS complains that the referenced dao beans are not found.
    I enabled support for <import/> element in configuration files in the project preferences (under Spring|Beans Support), but this didn't help.
    Also, I cannot add the dao config file there, because it's located in the other project.

    So, is it correct that STS ignores imports from classpath resources?
    What's the recommended way to deal with these kind of problems?
    How can I get rid of these "referenced bean not found" warnings (without moving the daos.xml to the WTP project)?

    Thanks,
    Holger
