  • Turning Off Insight?

I really like the Spring Insight feature that comes with STS. It's quite useful in several circumstances. However, sometimes I just want to do a quick test that the frontend is working correctly, and Insight adds several seconds of startup time that I don't necessarily always want to spend. Is there a way to indicate that I don't want Insight this time, or would I have to install a separate Tomcat server for that?

    Brandon,

The easiest way to do this is to just create a new Server in the Servers list and when you select the server type, select tc Server, then select the "SpringSource tc Server (Runtime) v6.0" Server runtime env.

See the attached screenshot for what I am talking about.

Once you have the new Non-Insight server created, just deploy your app there.

      Hi,

STS 2.3.2 allows you disable Spring Insight from the Server Editor (double click in the tc Server entry in the Servers view).
