  • Spring IDE: Old Problem w/ TypeFilter reappears

    With the latest Spring IDE, I again run into the old problem I deemed fixed already.

    In my XML, I say:

    Code:
    <context:component-scan base-package="com.phrood.meadows">
    	<context:include-filter
    		expression="com.phrood.soil.spring.core.type.filter.ResourceFilter" type="custom"/>
    </context:component-scan>
    The class signature of `ResourceFilter' is:

    Code:
    public class ResourceFilter implements TypeFilter
    However, when validating the XML, Spring IDE says: ``Class is not assignable to [org.springframework.core.type.filter.TypeFilter]: com.phrood.soil.spring.core.type.filter.ResourceFi lter''.

    Hi,

    you're hitting a regression in the latest 2.3.1 version. This has already been reported and fixed. See:

    IDE-1098: Unexpected Exception parsing error ClassCastException ScopedProxyMode when using @Scope("request")
    http://jira.springframework.org/browse/IDE-1098

    You can pick up a fix from the nightly snapshot update site. We will also release a 2.3.1.SR01 in the next couple of days.

    Regards,

    Christian

      That's good news.

      Would http://www.springsource.com/update/e3.4 be the right update site to follow then?
