  • Uninstalling Google Eclipse Plugin

    trying to uninstall Google Eclipse Plugin from STS 2.3.0 results in error. I'm specifically trying to uninstall the Google App Engine code.

    Any ideas?

    I'm running Windows Vista.

    Hi bkbonner,

    unfortunately you're hitting a known issue in Eclipse P2, aka the update mechanism, when installing STS or Eclipse into multi-user protected directories like "C:\Program Files".

    The only way to solve this to re-install STS into a directory other then "C:\Program Files".

    Sorry for this inconvenience. In the upcoming version of STS, the installer will not suggest installing into "C:\Program Files" any longer.
