  • groovy generated setters

I have a groovy class with setters and getters (auto generated) that I am trying to set through Spring. The Spring builder fails in Eclipse since it says it cannot find a property with the given name. I don't think I can use the lang:groovy tag for this since I don't actually provide the groovy scripts (only the compile class files) in the target directory. Is there a workaround for this? Maybe I can disable validation on a single bean?

    thanks,
    Jeff

    Jeff,

thanks for reporting this. I've released a fix to Spring IDE and STS trunk that will prevent checking property names for Groovy types.

You can get the fix from the nightly snapshot update site at http://www.springsource.com/snapshot/e3.5.

Please hold off updating until tomorrow as the nightly build needs to run first.

Let me know if this new version fixes your issue.
