  • Spring IDE website outage?

This is 2nd day I cannot access the Spring IDE website.

ETA for outage? Or, did I miss the memo?

I don't have an ETA for getting the site up and running again. We are in contact with the hosting provider in Germany.

Please note that the update site is hosted on Amazon S3:

    nightly: http://dist.springframework.org/snapshot/IDE/nightly
    release: http://dist.springframework.org/release/IDE

      Amazon S3 site not available

      Hi Christian,

Thanks for posting the s3 URLs.

I presume these should work even when springide.org is down?

At 9:22am PST on Monday July 28th:

The S3 release URL is returning:

NoSuchKeyThe specified key does not exist.release/IDE98778902E1BFF97BvHXfCfOZwFOuLozN0D9uvumeP0cE+L8 g4ZnwNknRpCcUkrnTiUfNvm1Uj+ULdeNc
      and similar for the nightly.

Is that expected while springide.org is down?

      Regards,

      -Glen

        Glen,

unfortunately s3 is not good for browsing with your favorite web browser. The urls I posted work in the Eclipse update manager even if springide.org is down and you get a strange error message when opening the link with your browser.

Just try the link in Eclipse, you'll be surprised. If you want to browse use s3browse.

        Cheers

        Christian

          Hi Christian,

Thanks for setting me straight on that.

I used the URL in Eclipse Update Manager and everything worked perfectly.

I followed your instructions in the thread "Spring IDE Installation Instructions" and encountered no problems.

You have made my first steps with SpringIDE considerably easier that they might otherwise have been.

          Thanks,

          -Glen
