  • springide tests & command-line build

Are there any tests associated with the spring-ide source code? In trunk or in the dev branches, I see only org.springframework.ide.test/*, which is pretty minimal (no offense intended).

I can check out the code from the new repository

    http://springide.org/blog/2008/01/04...ository-moved/

but would feel more comfortable making changes if I could run tests.

I can build from eclipse using features, but am still working out platform differences in the automated build (org.springframework.ide.eclipse.releng). It seems to be under active development, so I assume it's working and I just need to modify it for cygwin/windows/various versions of eclipse.

    Thanks!

There are no real JUnit test cases for the Spring IDE source code (yet?). That will definitely change in the future. For now that only thing you can is to test the stuff you change manually in a hosted Eclipse environment.

Regarding the build process. It currently runs under Mac and Linux; I haven't tried Windows. You might want to start the build.sh script by passing the -Djava.rt argument pointing to the classes.jar or rt.jar of your JDK. Have a look into the localBuild.sh for a Mac version.
