  • No tag library could be found - http://www.springframework.org/tags/form

    Hi

    I am getting the follow error

    =>No tag library could be found with this URI. Possible causes could be that the URI is incorrect, or that there were errors during parsing of the .tld file.
    <%@ taglib prefix="f" uri="http://www.springframework.org/tags/form" %>

    I am using STS plugin in eclipse Juno=>spring template project

    I have read some folks on different forums indicate i need to add spring.jar to WEB-INF/jar and use something like <%@ taglib prefix="spring" uri="/WEB-INF/spring.tld" %>

    i have in pom.xml
    <dependency>
    <groupId>org.springframework</groupId>
    <artifactId>spring-webmvc</artifactId>
    <version>${org.springframework-version}</version>
    </dependency>
    should this not be enough?

    Any help is appreciated.

    Hey!

    Does the error persist if you do a clean build of the project? Sometimes we see strange errors coming up that get resolved once you do a clean build of the project.

    If that doesn't help, can you point us to the exact template project that you are using?

    Cheers,
    -Martin

      Did a clean build. Still getting same error.

      I am using spring mvc template. Deploying to weblogic 12. I think somehow weblogic is not finding the tld.

        Hey!

        Usually it should be enough to have the spring-webmvc lib in your pom, but maybe there is something going wrong during the deployment. Can you check if the deployed application in Weblogic contains that corresponding JAR file?

        We had a similar thread on this forum some time ago:

        Hope that helps!
