  • Sysdeo still necessary?

    Hi,

I just downloaded STS 3.0.0 and I'm wondering if it's still necessary to have Sysdeo to be able to work with Tomcat and have proper hot reloading of classes that are changed/saved?

I have used Sysdeo for years to satisfaction but always considered it ludricous that it was necessary. Hence the curiosity.

    Kind regards,

    Marc

No longer needed - since years
Eclipse has WTP build in. Just look into the server view.
STS, even more, has Tomcat build in (tc server).

      Hey!

And if you want vastly improved reloading behavior, you should tryout "agent-based reloading", the option that is available for the tc Server support in STS. It lets you modify code on the fly without the container to reload the whole application.

      HTH,
      Martin
