  • STS using a VMware vFabric tc server question

Running STS V2.6.1 with a VMware vFabric tc server.
Currently I have created a simple Spring MVC Template application and the application does deploy and works great.

Problem is, I want to add a JNDI datasource to the container. When I look at the STS install I see 2 tomcat installs, a 6.0 and a 7.0 tomcat.

So how do I know which one I am running? And how do I add a JNDI to a database pool (DBCP) to the tc server?

I have a standalone tomcat 6.0 and ended up adding a <context> for a test and it worked, but this scenario looks different.

    Thanks,

    Hi!

The tomcat version you are using with your tc Server depends on the configured runtime environment. If you use your pre-configured tc Server from the Servers view, its a tomcat 7 one. If you wanna change that, you can add a new server and create that with a different runtime environment. There you can just select the tomcat version you wanna use.

    HTH,
    Martin
