  • Recommended XSD from XML plugin for STS 2.7

    Hi,

Starting my first web services project using spring-ws and following the example in Chapter 3 of the docs which says 'By far the easiest way to create an XSD is to infer it from sample documents. Any good XML editor or Java IDE offers this functionality'.

What does STS use? Googling around all I can find is examples for command line tools and the Oxygen plugin which I can't afford. Is there a context-menu item I have missed?

    Thanks

    Hey!

Within STS we use the Eclipse Webtools for all this XML and XSD work, so you might wanna take a look at these XSD editing features. I don't think there is a direct "infer new XSD" action, but you can just copy a sample XSD and work from there. Should be fairly straight forward.

    HTH,
    Martin
