  • How do I add arguments to a project-specific JRE?

    Hi,

I'm using STS 2.6.0.RELEASE. I have several projects using a project specific JRE (Java 1.5). For this JRE, I want to add a couple of runtime arguments -- "-Denv=dev -DappServerName=dev". How do I do this?

    Thanks, - Dave

    Hi Dave!

There are two ways of doing this: You can add those arguments to each individual launch configuration (vm arguments) or you can add them as "default arguments" to the JRE configuration. The first option is maybe more work since you need to add those arguments to each configuration, but its more flexible. The second way is easier, but they are always added to the arguments of the launch configs and you cannot create a launch config that uses this JRE but should not have those arguments.

    HTH,
    Martin

Should you add to enviroment variables? Like MY_JAVA_OPTS = "-Denv=dev -DappServerName=dev", then you can reference this variable in different places.

I am looking for removing a VM Argument(Daspectj.overweaving=true) using STS but it keeps coming back
